The Peer Empowerment Bursary
Amount to be awarded: $500

Whether you are a student who could use a little help gaining a

post-secondary education or you are looking for more information on my project, you've come to the right place.

How can a bursary help?

Books and Supplies

We all know that supplies are an added expense. Even a  small bursary can help to cover the fees of any textbooks or supplies a student will need.

The Actual Program

Obviously, a bursary can help pay for tuition. This could be starting off your education fund or adding to it.

A Single Course

A single course is less daunting when it comes to finances. Taking a course one at a time might be the approach some students take.

Applying

If you are a student wanting to apply for the bursary make sure that you are eligible. When applying you will be asked for:

 1. A reference letter from a teacher or employer

2. A paragraph of your post-secondary plans (250 words)

3. A paragraph relating how the bursary will help you (250 words)

You must also be a grade 12 student attending a school in the Langley district.

The bursary will be open from November 19, 2021 - December 31, 2021.

Anyone who applies during this window will be considered for the bursary.

The student's first name, and last initial will be shared on the website once the bursary is awarded.

I will announce the recipient on January 11th, 2022.

2021 Recipients

Congratulations to Madison K. and Sabrina P. for being the recipients of this bursary.
